Dads Breakfast – As the year starts to fly by and life gets busy I thought it would be a good opportunity to have a Dad’s Breakfast at School. So I would like to invite all Dads, Stepdads and male role models of our children to a Dunsandel School Dad’s Breakfast on Friday 29th June from 7:00am – 8:30am in the school hall. We will provide Bacon & Egg Burgers and a tea/coffee – come along and catch up with Dad’s you know and Dad’s you don’t. To help with catering please return the attached form in our newsletter by Tuesday 26 June if you intend to come along. I hope to see many of you there.
D Robinson – Principal.
Our School vision is:
P = Participate. We want our children to Participate and for school Participate means Join In.
R = Respect. We want our children to show Respect and for our school Respect means Treat Others like you would like to be Treated.
I = Initiative. We want our children to show Initiative and for our children Initiative means Think for Yourself.
D = Determined. We want our children to be Determined and for our school Determined means Try Hard and Don’t Give Up.
E = Excellence. We want our children to strive for Excellence and for our school Excellence means Do your Best.
At the end of 2015 I asked the Year 6 children to write the introduction for our Charter and this is what they came up with as a group –
“Our school is all about our PRIDE values. Each letter in the word PRIDE stands for a different value, we think is important. We all display these letters in different ways; on the sports field, in the classroom and when we are in our community. These letters hold us and link us together as a family. We are determined to be better people and to do the very best we can at all times.
We are country kids, we are the hub, we are here and now, with a proud history behind us. We all have a part to play, a job to do and we do it with PRIDE.
We know that we can take these values with us when we leave our school and they will be with us forever, each of us helping make the world a kind and better place.”
They were also asked to write down the words that describe our school to them – these are shown in this Wordle.
I am proud to be the Principal of our school and it is an honour to be part of the Dunsandel School community. If you would like further information about our school please don’t hesitate to contact us.
